One Day with 5 Amazing Destination in Phuket!

I always love the beach, this post should not only be about my impression but also my recommendation.

Phuket and Phiphi Island are heaven! They are one of my favorite so far.

As always, blue sky and blue ocean look perfect together, then succeed stealing my heart.

Actually me and my team should be in Phuket for only 2 days, because the only one reason we were going to Phuket only just to visit Phiphi island. But, as i have informed on my post before that the mistaken of buying flight ticket made us should stay there for 4 days.

I thought it should be one of the biggest mistake that happen in my life, because i saw on google that Phuket's beach is not that good until i realised that my mind was wrong! Otherwise Its the best mistake ever made.

God is good!

When and why i start to think that's the best mistake in my life? Here the story.

As an intro, i will tell you the beginning of our journey.

When we arrived in Phuket Airport, we searched for the way to get to our hostel which was 34km away. There were 2 choices:

1. Grab with the price around 900baht almost 1000baht.

2. Taxi with unpredictable price plus 100baht as airport charge.

Finally we chose Taxi and apparently the price is only 600baht + 100baht(airport charge).

First lesson, i want to tell you that if you arrive at Bangkok or Phuket's airport in the midnight then do not hesitate to choose Taxi, because it's cheaper and also easier.

Why easier? same case as in Indonesia, you have to go out from Airport area to get to your grab car.

Second lesson, being friendly to the others even they are not part of your group. Why?

We stayed in Fulfill Hostel and thank God, we met really nice Australian group of people, when we had breakfast together we talk a lot and one of them asked "so, what is your plan in Phuket especially today?"

Then we answer that "We don't know yet, our main destiny to go to Phuket is only Phiphi island and it's for tomorrow."

Then without preamble, she gave us really brilliant recommendations of places to visit for the whole one day, such as:

1. Nai harn beach.

2. Kata View Point.

3. Kata Beach.

4. Karon beach.

5. Big Buddha.

6. Weekend market.

If you check in the map, all of the places is one way. Isn't that cool?!

We just can make it to 3 places:

1. Nai harn beach.

Nai harn beach was the first beach that we visited and also the first beach that made me fall in love with Phuket already. The beach is so clean, no rocks and there's a lot of people but neatly organized.

Although the sun was so bright, but the wind was so friendly.

The most impressive thing is the waves were super duper cool! not that big but not that small as well that make me can stay in the sea for an hour or more.

When we got so hungry already, we decided to left the beach and went looking for food. We ate still around Nai harn beach and as always Thailand never failed about delicious cheap food.

2. Kata View Point.

Kata view point is also good, but i have seen that kinda thing in Nusa Lembongan, Bali. So actually i'm not that surprised anymore, but trust me it's good too.

We just took15 minutes there and it's worth to visit.

3. Kata Beach.

Kata beach is a beach that we saw from Kata view point and it's an amazing place too. Same as Nai Harn beach that is so clean, no rocks, there's a lot of people but neatly organized, the waves were so cool! (actually i'm just copy from point 1 above, but it's true the description is same)

The difference between Kata Beach and Nai Harn is:

• Around Kata beach is like Kuta, Bali that there's hotel and also restaurant or Bar, but Nai Harn is more remote.

• Nai harn beach is more calm.

• Kata beach's waves came more often and I think bigger.

I can't tell which one is the best, because I love the tranquility in Nai harn beach, but I love Kata beach's waves that came more often.

As the recommendation, actually there's 3 other places to go in that day but unfortunately we can't make it, here are the reasons:

1. Karon beach because we were tired already.

2. Big Buddha because we had no time, we should be back to the hostel to took a shower and the moon has come already.

3. Weekend market because it's Monday and Weekend Market only open on weekend.

That's it! That's our short trip in Phuket Island, the next day is Phiphi island time and the day after tomorrow is the time to back home.

The rest, we just looking for some food every night and it's so hard to get! Really different with Bangkok.

So someone that have money and have entrepreneur soul, i recommend you to open a nice restaurant there! We were so starving a lot times because we cannot find some food.

Also please make the restaurant that open until midnight, because every time we're starving at 10 o'clock then we only found Sevel to get some bread to eat.
